A day in Budapest sounds rushed. You can visit some of the city’s biggest attractions in only a day. The capital of Hungary is famous for its rich background, lovely buildings and energetic culture. These are the main places you need to visit to have a fantastic day in Budapest:
1. Buda Castle
Buda Castle which is on the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites, is a good place to start your day. The castle complex is placed on Castle Hill, so guests can see an awe-inspiring sight of the city from it. Look around the castle, pay a visit to the Hungarian National Gallery and rest in the gardens for a while.
2. Chain Bridge

10. River cruise on the Danube
It’s a wonderful way to end a day in Budapest by taking a Danube River cruise. Take a break, relax and enjoy the view of Budapest’s lovely landmarks while having dinner or just a drink.
